The telecom regulator TRAI has issued 'Standards of Quality of Service for Mobile Data Services Regulations, 2012'. These guidelines detail minimum quality benchmark for mobile internet services, which among other things makes it mandatory for operators to activate such services within three hours of receiving the request from a customer. TRAI will monitor quality of mobile internet service on nine parameters. TRAI had earlier issued quality benchmarks for broadband services but there were no quality of service standards for the mobile data services. Facebook Twitter Linkedin Email
